“The Lovely Spell” Maybe I should have taken a bit longer to decide about this…

What did I know about living in a trolley on my friend’s rural property near Duvall, WA? Not enough! When I got it all set up, and lived in it starting in August, it was fun, but a bit isolated. And, even though I could ride my bike in the hills and on country roads, I didn’t have a community. Most of my friends and family were at least 45 minutes away.

Then I woke up in late November, and it was 29 degrees outside, and 49 degrees inside (even with two heaters running overnight). I bailed and headed to Florida (and Guatemala and Aruba and then a cruise to England and France…) I locked the door and left, and when I came back in May, I realized that I should have drained the plumbing (oops!) and thankfully, my friend, “Helpful Ben” Schreiber was willing to crawl underneath and redo all the broken pipes and connections. We moved it to another friend’s property in Arlington, WA, and it’s waiting for me to decide what’s next.

“The Lovely Spell” is still amazing, but I don’t think I’ll ever want to live in it full time again. It would make a really fun vacation rental or artist/writer retreat space and I’m open to selling it. Maybe I can go back and shoot episodes of a fun show for my YouTube channel or???
