Tzedakah Pots: Making a Small Difference

School groups love this workshop — maybe because the students get to start by breaking a clay flowerpot. As they work to restore the pot to wholeness, they learn about words that hurt and heal, about despair and hope, and emerge from the experience with renewed dedication to making a small difference. Classes can use these vessels to collect Tzedakah money and markers–notes about acts of lovingkindness and goodness that also make the world a better place. They will also walk out singing “All I want on any given day is to make a Small Difference in some way”…

 

Minimum group size: 6

Recommended age: 8 and up (use of hot glue gun by adults is strongly recommended)
